Citizen Science (CS-P, ongoing)
Students will spend approximately 15% of their time over one year working on the planning, development, and ultimate launch of a citizen science project related to their research.
NU Machine Learning Meetup (MLM, ongoing)
Speakers from academia and industry, journal-club activities, presentation practice, as well as other community-building activities are available for students and faculty. Presentations by invited external speakers will be recorded and made available on the NRT website. NRT Trainees are encouraged to participate.
Management for Scientists and Engineers (MiniMBA, summer)
This eight-week summer certificate program is a collaboration between The Graduate School and the Kellogg School of Management. Students are introduced to topics not typically covered in the laboratory environment, including topics such as strategy, finance, marketing and accounting.
NUvention: Analytics
This quarter-long interdisciplinary course offered through the Farley Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovations was designed to help students create new analytics technologies. Students are guided by experts as they develop businesses around their innovations, focusing on contextual design, business model development, and product-market alignment.
